Red Flag: Stephen Lewis Lecture

Stephen Lewis: Response To The World Gone Mad
“I beg you to understand that the world has turned. It hasn’t just changed; it’s turned. And your collective response—moral, principled, determined, tenacious, indefatigable—it can save this world.” — Stephen Lewis, ’16 LLD (Honorary)

With nationalism, divisiveness, economic uncertainty and poverty on the rise, you could be forgiven for thinking the world has gone mad. Could Canada be a beacon of hope and sanity in the world?

At this very critical juncture in human history, former UN envoy — and hopelessly proud Canadian — Stephen Lewis will illustrate why he believes it’s Canada’s time to lead on issues of ending poverty, subduing communicable diseases, fighting for gender equality, confronting climate change and achieving the triumph of human rights for everyone.
