Thank you to everyone who joined GANG on May 31 for our Fashion for Climate Action event! Featuring the amazing work of Ellen Monahan, a member of Ujamaa Grammas in Calgary, this fashion show used creativity to prompt discussion about the climate challenges facing our world. Several members of GANG modeled 29 different creations that displayed images that spoke to food insecurity, water, heat, severe weather events, diminishing biodiversity and more. Members and guests were impressed with the fine workmanship of these vests. They also had a chance to visit with staff from the City of Edmonton Reuse Centre and members of SCAN Edmonton, two groups who are also engaged in addressing climate change.
